Time (and Tide)

"I hope you live rightly at any time and any place."

"I hope you never tell a lie under any circumstances."

Those sayings made up my blood and bone.

And in no time

I became a mother of two kids.

Now I repeat the lessons once he gave me.

like great streaks of rain down.

세  월

아버지께서 말씀하셨다.

경우 바르게 살아라

거짓말하지 말아라

그 말씀이

피가 되고 살이 되어

어느새

두 아이의 엄마가 되었다

나는 그 옛날의 아버지 말씀을

그대로 되풀이한다.

경우 바르게...

거짓말은 못써...

하면서

아! 세월이 빠르게

흐른다.

쏟아지는 빗줄기처럼

아니 그보다 더 빠르게

흐른다.
