                     Jeong Dong Jin

                                                                                       written by Jeong Ho-seung

What made us go through Tae-baek range all night long?

What made us reach here without letting us fall asleep overnight?

Beyond the horizon, we see the train off which carried us,

and we stare at the dawn sea, heart to heart.

The sun rises.

When the sun is about to appear over the sea, we can see it.

But, after the sun rose, we can't even catch a glimpse of it,

because it shines too brightly.

That's it!

For us, who can be whose sun?

We can only be a strand of sunshine to each other.

We can only be a handful of wave to each other.

Who can be whose sea?

The train who was drowned in the sea comes to life again,

and is on his way again alongside of the coastline.

Now though we walk along the seashore next to the railroad,

arm in arm with each other,

Who knows until when it will be able to last?

Look at the pine tree standing towards the east sea.

Feel the heart of the pine tree who has given the sea

one shoulder of his, as if he felt tired.

It must be a cozy shoulder I once leaned on,

with my long hair blown off by the sea wind.

Again look at the railroad which runs and runs along the seashore.

The reason the train can move forward in its life without even stopping a night

is that it has rolled on the parallel lines.

We must get our trains to go forward in parallel with each other

rather than to try to make them only one train with reluctance.

Jeong Dong Jin sees the train off and always remains alone.

Jeong Dong Jin sees us off, but never cries.

Beyond the horizon, the thick red dawn sea of Jeong Dong Jin

is waving his handkerchief.

How beautiful it is!

At the moment, he has already been hugged by the sunshine in waves.

May a sweet seagull, today, love him with all her heart!    -translated by Mr. ENARO-

I love you with all my heart,

Not because you love only my rosy face like other people,

But because you love even my gray hair.

I miss you with all my spirit,

Not because you love only my smile,

But because you love even my tears.

I wait for you forever,

Not because you love my life alone,

But because you love even my death.

               Landscape

                                                                                    written by Habaraki

On the leaves of bamboos inviting moonlight to their nest

The back yard is brimming with cozy gleam.

On the terrace where jars are placed

As if to listen to the lecture of Heaven

Swelling jars are giving a deep bow grasping their hands on the knees.

Silver ray is falling down over their heads.

Somewhere desolate east wind blows.

All at once river revives fluttering her fins.

Clean and blue sea falls into the jars obsessed with 'Croak. Croak'.

On white sands, as angelic children are stamping their feet,

Raising their cute hands, shouting,"I am here. I can do it."

They have the dew of dawn on their pupils.

I am happy enough not to shut my mouth.

I am hesitating to whom to step up and speak

Applying saliva to the tip of my index finger.
