 The fallen leaves

                            written by Choi Jang-hee

Leaves are falling

with a concrete wall at intervals

Leaves

falling on the bare ground inside it

Leaves

rubbing themselves on the cement floor outside it

Though lovers walk on the street

with indifference,

To the leaves falling in fall,

even to the death, to keep their purity

on the bare ground inside the wall,

they are wringing their whole body

콘크리트 담 하나 놓고

낙엽이 떨어지고 있다.

안 쪽 맨 땅에

떨어지는 낙엽

바깥 쪽 시멘트 바닥에

떨어지는 낙엽

길 가는 연인들은

무심하지만

그러나

가을 낙엽에 있어서는

마지막까지 순결을 지키려고

안 쪽 맨 땅에

온 몸을 비틀고 있다.
